-It’s a viral infection for which a preventive vaccine is available. It starts with a mild headache or fever and spots on the head and body spreading to the legs and arms. These spots are red with watery blisters, which dry and form crusts. They are very itchy. It clears up in 10-14 days without treatment. The skin can be kept cool with calamine lotion and medicated talc.
